Iheanacho, Iwobi, Others to Arrive Camp Today for Friendly against Senegal
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr
has received the assurance of all the players in the English Premier League
(EPL) that they will hit the Crown Plaza hotel camp latest on
Monday (Today) ahead of the grade A friendly match against the Teranga
Lions of Senegal.
It has been gathered that Manchester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, Arsenal
forward, Alex Iwobi, Leicester City duo Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi Watford’s
Isaac Success, and Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme have given assurances that they
will be in camp on Monday. Also
expected to be in camp on Monday is
new invitee and Ado Den Haag’s right wing-back Tyronne Ebuehi, who couldl be
making his international debut for the Nigerian national team in the two
friendly matches.
It was gathered
that the Haarlem-born Ebuehi has given his word that he will join the Super
Eagles squad in London on Monday. Rohr,
who is presently in Europe will also be in London on Monday, while his
assistants are expected to join him latest Wednesday
to commence preparations for the games. Nigeria will be playing Senegal and
Burkina Faso in two friendly games at the London’s Hive stadium as part of the
Super Eagles build up for both the ongoing Russia 2018 FIFA world cup and
Cameroon 2019 AFCON qualifiers.
