Enugu Rangers Coach Suspended

Enugu Rangers Coach Suspended
Head coach Imama Amapakabo of Rangers International has confirmed his sacking by Nigeria Professional Football League champions. On his twitter handle on Monday night, Amapakabo wrote: “It’s official. Received a termination of my contract with Rangers international football Club by email by 5:35pm. Thank you lord for every.”
“Next page jare!! Let the show begin.”
It was Amapakabo who led Rangers to their first NPFL title in over 30 years last season. but have struggled with the Flying Antelopes this season as they are currently bottom of the league table. They got knocked out of the CAF Champions League by Zamalek and are on the verge of crashing out of the Confederation Cup after drawing 2-2 at home against Zesco United of Zambia last Sunday. Former Super Eagles coach and manager of Rangers International Christian Chukwu said Amapakabo’s assistant Chukwuma Agbo had been appointed as the  struggling team’s caretaker manager. “We are looking for a coach to take over  the team — but  Agbo will be in charge until we appoint a substantive coach.”
He added, “Whether you say the coach (Amapakabo) has been suspended, sacked or fired, the most important thing is that we will appoint a new coach. But he has not been given a letter terminating his contract; he is only suspended for now.”
