Alert!! Flood all over Abuja Airport
The Abuja
airport which was closed down on March 8th this year for renovation and later
opened six weeks later after renovation works on the Runway was completed in
order to meet International Civil Aviation standards has been overtaken by
floods. A video of the airport which reportedly cost a whopping N5.8 billion to
renovate was uploaded on social media showing a flooded area close to the
tarmac with planes parked.
The airport became water logged
after a heavy rainfall with passengers in the video seen taking off their shoes
to board the airport shuttle to the lobby.
