Schedule for UNN Congregation Representative Election

This is to invite the University Community to a meeting of Congregation of the University of Nigeria, scheduled as follows:

Date:              Tuesday, May 23, 2017

Time:             10.00am

Venue:           Ekpo Refectory

Agendum:     Election of Congregation Representatives into the                                 University of Nigeria Governing Council.

In accordance with schedule 3, article 4 of the University of Nigeria Act 1978, Congregation shall consist of:

a.         The Vice-Chancellor

b.         The Registrar

c.         Full time members of Academic staff

d.         The Bursar and,

e.         Every member of Administrative Staff who holds a degree of               any University recognized for the purpose of this statute by the              Vice-Chancellor, not an honorary degree.

In compliance with section 20 of the Order of Proceedings of Congregation, I hereby call for nominations of qualified candidates to fill two vacant Congregation seats in Council.

A list of members of Congregation shall be displayed at Careers Notice Board from Monday, May 15, 2017 to Wednesday, May 17, 2017 for crosschecking.

Nomination forms shall be obtained from Careers Unit on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 and returned to same Unit in sealed envelopes not later than 4.00pm on Wednesday, May 17, 2017.
